Evaluation of 7th grade Turkish language speaking education according to teachers' views

The aim of this research is to evaluate the Turkish Language Teaching speaking education of 7th grade of according to teachers? views and practices. The research model is mıxed method. The population of the research is the Turkish language teachers teaching 7th graders in state elementary schools in central districts (Seyhan, Yüreğir and Çukurova) of Adana. The data were collected through interwievs and observations which are qualitative data collection methods and through questionnaire which are quantitative data collection tools.The qualitative data which was obtained from the interviews and observations were analyzed with the techniques of content analysis. As the result of the study, teachers? views were gathered on purposes and attainments, activities and several studies, the methods and techniques, materials and tools, measurement and evaluation elements, time, what kind of difficulties encountered in speaking education and proposed solutions for the sspeaking education in the 7th grade Turkish Language Teaching and speaking skills education was evaluated. Also ıt has been set how speaking lessons are given.
