Abstract (EN)
Throughout her active life in İstanbul between the years 1965-2017, Yelda Karataş had many friends and was influenced by many artists among art community; however, she has never regarded herself to be a part of any literary movement. She created her works of art by combining her intellectual accumulation of years with her own aesthetic view. Although Karataş produced works of various literary genres, she is better known with her poesy. The subject of this study covers Yelda Karataş's poems. Within the study, all the poems of the poet were thematically grouped and examined accordingly in the scope of psychology, philosophy, sociology, and literature theories. Also, during the analysis study and imagery analysis, information exchange was regularly done with the poet, and poet's perception of image and world are presented. With the occasion of this study, Yelda Karataş, who took an important part among the art community of her times, and her poetry will take its place in academic literature, and this study will put light to further studies regarding her. In the final part of this study, there will be a conclusion part including reviews on Yelda Karataş's poetics, and references part showing the works utilised in this study.
