Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to reveal the possibilities of the use of photoluminescence materials as a new approach in structure applications of landscape architecture. Within the scope of the research, findings related to photoluminescence applications around the world have been obtained and evaluated, findings from 29 photoluminescence material study samples were analysed to reveal their possible uses in lighting, security, decoration and multi-purpose applications, as well as their uses in the other sectors. As a result of the studies on the photoluminescence material samples, it was found that photoluminescence, which produces artificial light using solar energy, is more economic and more efficient than electric energy and has many advantages for outdoor lighting in terms of energy saving as well as environmental aspects. Given these features, the use of photoluminescence materials continue to increase around the world every day, however it has been concluded that it does not currently have much of a use in Turkey, because it is still not well-known.
