Abstract (EN)
Heterocyclic compounds are extremely important because more than half of all organic compounds contain heterocyclic skeleton. The heterocyclic structures exist in many vitamins, drugs and natural compounds. Therefore, synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds, and the development of new synthetic methodologies are the subject of current research. Isoquinoline-1,3-dione derivatives are commonly known heterocyclic compounds. However, when benzene ring is replaced by furan ring a novel heterocyclic compounds furo-isoquinoline-1,3-dione derivatives are consisted which unknown yet. Aim of this work is synthesis of furo-isoquinoline-1,3-dione derivatives by developing a new method. After the synthesis of diester 77 by literature method, the unconjugated part of the diester was hydrolyzed with potassium hydroxide to obtain mono-acid. The obtained mono-acid was converted to acyl chloride 79 with oxalyl chloride. Then, amid derivatives were synthesized by the addition reaction of various amine derivatives with this acyl chloride. Finally, the intended novel heterocyclic compounds furo-isoquinoline-1,3-dione derivatives 26a-b were obtained by the reaction of amid derivatives with potassium hydroxide.
