Abstract (EN)

The molecule of thymol (2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol) is a monoterpene phenol derivative isolated from the Thymus vulgarias (Lamiaceae) plant. Thymol and its derivatives are very important not only food chemistry but also cosmetics industry due to its special odors. Recently, it is improved that natural products could be more effective fort he treatment a variety of diseases. Thymol are used as antioxidant, antipeptic, antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal. Moreover, it was investigated that thymol and derivatives may be new candidates for cancer. In this study, thymol based new hybrid molecule is synthesized by using substitution reaction. Then, cytotoxity effects of new thymol hybrit molecule was found for different cancer line.
