An investigation on New Uyghur proverbs

The common pasts, common values, cultural traditions, thoughts, beliefs and perspectives of nations find their expression in proverbs in the best way possible. Turkish proverbs, one of the most precious jewels of the national treasure, are one of the most important products of our oral culture. They came into being by turning the vast experiences and thoughts of Turkish ancestors into words after they were filtered through a solid logic filter, and they further increased the value of the work in the hands of the nation. This thesis has been prepared by examining books, articles and theses published at different times in Turkey in order to compile and classify New Uyghur proverbs scattered in East Turkistan and Turkey. In total, 3832 proverbs have been compiled. The study consists of introduction, examination and conclusion sections. The review section is covered under five main headings. In the first part, New Uyghur proverbs are classified as a whole and divided into 48 main titles. In the second part, the classification is made according to the "who said" and "said". Here, proverbs are examined under three headings: "spoken to someone", "spoken by someone's mouth" and "spoken about someone or something". In the third part, classification is made according to word frequency. The words in the proverbs were examined in terms of frequency and the 100 most frequently mentioned words were determined. In the fourth chapter, which is common in Turkey with Turkish; In the fifth chapter is not common in Turkey Turkish tried to determine. In conclusion, the data related to the New Uygur proverbs have in common with an overall evaluation of the results is made and Turkey Turkish classification are shown on tables and graphs. With this study, it is aimed to contribute to vocabulary studies of New Uygur Turkish.
