An investigation of wind energy is one of renewable energy sources use at buildings

Nowadays, the increase in energy use, the existing energy resources are running out and environmental pollution from fossil fuels necessitates the use of renewable energy sources. A large portion of the energy consumption of buildings has increased the need for renewable energy sources. In this study renewable sources of energy used in buildings and one of the renewable energy sources, wind energy's current state in developed countries and in Turkey was considered. The principles of active and passive use of wind energy in the buildings was explained. Samples were evaluated using wind energy structures abroad and these countries' current wind energy was considered. Wind energy potential, and the present installed capacity of wind power stations in turkey was indicated. In Turkey, there is the desired level of wind energy use in buildings, and was concluded generally there are wind farms in TurkeyIn result part, the principles using wind power in the buildings was considered and Turkey's development in the use of wind energy for the measures to be taken and the work to be done had been identified. These results in the next data transfer designs and their reflections to the design process and the importance using wind energy in the buildings, the use of wind energy's contribution to the economy was considered.
