Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between organizational cynicism, psychological resilience, and organizational commitment among managers and coaches working in local governments and Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports. Additionally, it investigates whether these variables differ based on demographic factors such as gender, age, marital status, institution, position, and city of residence. A total of 329 volunteers participated in the study, including 204 men (62,0%, M_age=38,02±9,20) and 125 women (38,0%, M_age=34,55±7,51). The study was conducted using a correlational survey model. Data were collected through the "Personal Information Form," "Organizational Cynicism Scale," "Brief Resilience Scale," and "Organizational Commitment Scale." Microsoft Excel and SPSS 22.0 were used for statistical analysis. No missing data were found, and five outliers were excluded based on Mahalanobis distance. Normal distribution was confirmed, allowing for the use of T-tests and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation analyses. The results indicated generally negative relationships between the subdimensions of cynicism and psychological resilience. Specifically, "detachment from the institution" and "negative attitude toward the organization" showed moderate negative correlations with resilience. In contrast, a weak positive correlation was found between "participation in decisions" and resilience. Significant relationships were also identified between cynicism and organizational commitment. A strong positive correlation was observed between "detachment" and the "compliance" dimension of commitment, while moderate negative correlations were found with "identification" and "internalization." Other subdimensions of cynicism also showed weak to moderate relationships with commitment dimensions. Finally, psychological resilience was negatively correlated with compliance, but showed weak to moderate positive correlations with identification and internalization.
