Abstract (EN)

Gathering areas are the areas where individuals come together after the disaster and stay together until the first aid arrives. These areas can be used for short term as well as long term shelter. Determination of gathering areas is important in terms of access to assistance and sheltering services after the disaster. Within the scope of the thesis study, it has been tried to determine the areas where individuals can come together in the first seventy-two hours after the occurrence of the disaster. In this context, all green areas in the study area were analysed and land slope, distance to fault line, areal size, proximity to health facilities and hazardous facilities, building collapse hazard, accessibility criteria were considered. As a result of the analysis, the suitability of the green areas in the study area as a gathering area was evaluated in three categories as very suitable, medium and not suitable. In the analysis, it is concluded that 59,53% of the study area is very suitable, 35,85% is moderately suitable and 4,62% is not suitable.
