Abstract (EN)

The basis of this work is to evaluate landscapes that can bring together various ecosystem services in the Lower Catchment of Great Meander, to assess their connectivity in a network and thus to map the landscape potential to the green infrastructure system that represents the planning area in its entirety according to protection priorities. In this study, it is aimed to present proposals for the solution of the bottlenecks facing the national legislation in the planning of green infrastructure in the context of the green space planning. Within the scope of spatial planning; urban and rural landscape units can be integrated into spatial planning through "Open-Green Space System Plans". As a result, valuable areas in terms of landscape potential in the created green infrastructure map were found in the central, north and eastern parts of the basin rather than the protected areas and 68 of the 71 landscape types in the planning area. This rate represents 95.7% of the landscape typology. This result proves that it is necessary to add the landscape potential concept to existing conservation strategies. As a result of this necessity, in the conclusion, the obstacles and solution possibilities encountered in implementation for the integration of the proposed methodological approach into the planning process have been discussed.
