Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between coping attitudes, God beliefs and God perception of adult individuals. It is thought that individuals' God beliefs and God perceptions affect the coping attitudes they use. This research was communicated to the sample group through digital platforms. The research sample consists of 323 people. Coping Attitudes Assessment Scale, Perception of God Scale and Personal Information Form were used in the sample group. The data obtained were analysed using IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciensces) 23.0 package programme. Parametric and non-parametric tests were applied in data analysis. The majority of the sample was female (71.5%), had a bachelor's degree (63.2%), was between 21 and 30 years old (60.4%), had no chronic illness (88.5%), had no physical disability (99.1%), did not receive psychological help (89.5%) and believed in God (89.8%). As a result of this study, a weak positive relationship was observed between perception of God and emotion-focused coping attitudes. While a very weak positive relationship was obtained with problem-focused coping attitudes, a very weak negative relationship was obtained with ineffective coping attitudes. As a result, no significant relationship was observed between coping attitudes and God belief and God perception.
