Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, effectiveness of Drucker-Prager material model were investigated by comparing test results with micro, macro numerical solutions obtained by using this material model. For this reason, test data of Eindhoven walls which called as JD4, JD6 and JD7 were selected. In the micro modelling solutions, micro model solutions obtained with Xu et al. and Drucker-Prager material model were compared with these test results. Unit Cell Area (UCA) element model was proposed for homogenization procedure of brick/mortar units and it was used for macro modelling solutions. Equations for elasticity modulus and strength of homogenized masonry unit were firstly proposed. Correlations between elasticity modulus and strength of homogenized masonry unit were improved by investigating of effectiveness of coefficients use in these equations. Furthermore, variations of strength coefficient were investigated for developed horizontal and vertical elasticity modulus for UCA element. Besides this, the effectiveness of the proposed functions for modulus of elasticity and strength recommended in the literature were investigated.
