Abstract (EN)

Nanoparticles are groups of many atoms or molecules. They can be of various sizes and shapes. Metallic nanoparticles are structures with metal elements or compounds in their structure, generally between 1 and 100 nm in diameter. Since the dimensions of the nanoparticles are very small, they show outstanding properties compared to the volumetric structure of the materials, together with the provision of suitable conditions. Nano-sized metal particles are indispensable raw materials of advanced technology materials and their application areas are spread over many different sectors. In this study, it is aimed to synthesize nanostructured carbon-based gold particles, which are frequently preferred in the biomedical industry. The fact that the dense medium plasma system, which was previously used for the production of carbon nanoparticles, was used for the first time for carbon-based nanoparticle production with different electrode designs and different electrode materials makes this study unique. The system used for nanoparticle production consists of a control unit, power unit, induction coil unit and electrodes. The control unit has been used to provide specific pulse signal and resonance effect. The power unit, on the other hand, triggered the MOSFETs with 15 volt coming from the control unit. The low voltage reaching the induction coil was increased with the help of coils and transferred to the electrodes and arc formation was provided with the help of electrodes in the benzene-argon solution in the reactor and thus nanoparticles were formed. Dimensional, morphological, chemical and internal structure characterization evaluations were made for nanostructures after synthesis. It was observed that nanoparticles were generally 20-40 nanometers in diameter in scanning electron microscopy. In the energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results, gold was found at 0.1% and 0.01%, respectively. In addition, X-ray diffraction peaks prove the presence of gold in internal structure crystallography analyzes performed by X-ray diffraction. The findings obtained in this study were seen as promising in terms of synthesizing metallic nanoparticles with the dense environment plasma system, and it was evaluated that the efficiency could be improved with the development of the system.
