Abstract (EN)

In this study, effect of personality styles of management staff on their leadership behavior is investigated. The management staff is selected from an international pharmaceurical company working in Turkey. In first stage, a survey consisting of 9 questions is asked to the managers in order to determine their personality style. In the second stage, another questionnaire is prepared consisting of 20 questions in order to determine their leadership behavior. Totally, 82 managers are evaluated and survey results are investigated with SPSS 17 software by controlling the realibility and validity, using chi-square analysis method. 14 of 17 hypothesis which propose a relationship between personality style and leadership behavior is approved. On the other hand, the results are evaluated by comparing the results of a study conducted in Eczacıbaşı Company. Some of the findings of this study are supported by the findings of that study, in fact some of them are not. Finally, there is no exact and direct relationship between personality styles and leadership behaviors but some of the attitudes and leadership styles have an meaningful correlation. Regardless of having A type or B type personal properties, todays managers are using democratic and pacemaker styles. Besides this, while hiring people and constructing career planning process, companies should care of the personality styles.
