Abstract (EN)

In this study, the quality of coke produced by using the direct charge of imported coal or blended coal (TTK and imported coal) to the coke ovens was determined, and the effect of the optimum blending rate for the Blast Furnaces were evaluated. Also, this study demonstrates the coking criterion of just imported coals at operating conditions. The coal samples (From TTK, USA, Ukraine and Canada) were taken from the stock zone separately and the physical and chemical properties of these samples were determined. In this study, not only one sourced coals but also coal blend with TTK were used for coking process. In all stages of the study, approximately 200 tones of coal were charged to designate 10 coke ovens and after coking time of 18 ? 20 hours, the coke samples were analyzed. Then, the result of this analyze was examined and the optimum blend structure was chosen as 20 % TTK, 20 % Ukraine, 50 % Canada coals. This blend was used in production up to the evaluation of the coal stock.
