Abstract (EN)

Composite materials with low weight and high strength are increasingly used in many land, sea, air and space vehicles, especially in the outer surface coatings of such vehicles. When aircraft and spacecraft are considered, composite materials used on exterior surfaces are exposed to dynamic friction due to the fact that very high speeds are reached in a short time. Investigating the friction behavior of composite materials with different properties is important in terms of giving the desired performance during the use of the vehicle. In this thesis study, using a ceramic fiber plate with an insulated layer was used to represent the infrastructure of a composite material with similar properties to the composite materials used in aircraft (Reinforced Carbon Carbon (RCC), High Temperature Reusable Surface Insulation (HRSI) and Low Temperature Reusable Surface Insulation (LRSI). The most appropriate insulation material was determined by comparing the dynamic friction conditions and mechanical strength of the surface insulation materials produced in sintering furnaces with a layer of ethyl silicate resin with 1750°C and silicon carbide and boron carbide-based 'Ultra High Temperature Ceramics' on the ceramic fiber plate.
