Abstract (EN)

The concept of economic growth, which is dominant for the growth and continuity of the country's economies, has also been the subject of many literature studies. For the continuity of economic growth, countries should consider the concept of sustainability. Exports of high technology products, research and development expenditures, and patents, which are among the determinants of the concept of sustainable economic growth, are also examined as the subject of this study. The panel data analysis method, which combines both time series and cross-section analysis, was chosen as the analysis method used in this study. This study, which is conduct with the panel data analysis method, covers the period between 2000 and 2018. G8 (Germany, USA (United States), England, France, Italy, Japan, Russia, Canada) countries and Turkey are analyzing the study covering the era between 2000 – 2018. As a result of this study will examine whether high-tech product exports, research and development expenditures, and the number of established and non-resident patents affect economic growth. Due to the lack of studies on the developed G8 countries and Turkey in the literature, these countries choose to study. The data obtained as a result of the study has determined a long-term relationship between the export of high technology products and economic growth.
