Abstract (EN)

In this study called "Vocabulary Word of Divan by Yunus Emre," we investigated in detail and individually all the word and word types in the divan, and determined the word incidences and their proportions. Through exhaustive analysis and utilization from the available data, we attempted to figure out how Yunus Emre employed the words in shaping his style. All the words Yunus Emre used, and phrases and metaphors he formulated, are completely perfect. Choosing his themes mostly from Sufi realm, he managed to establish a perfect balance between meaning, feeling and form. Revealing the power of sound and meaning out of the words, Yunus Emre was able to express su/'s generis feelings, thoughts and images in sheer sincerity and integrity. He benefited from the spoken language to formulate an easy and uncomplicated poetic style, and he managed to devise a successful and original style by making use of metaphors and symbols, and figures of speech such as simile and tropes as well as the musicality of rhymes, replications and repetitions.He was capable of speaking concisely, and at the same time, he managed to make the profound and intricate subjects and conceptions easy to comprehend by making using the powerful and dexterous usage of the Turkish language. The noun and adjectival phrases, which we investigated in our study, are significant indicators of his world of imagery. He articulated a style of imagery and expression peculiar to him with the help of novel and original devices, which show his world of thinking, feeling and imagination through patterned similes in representation of entities and concepts. Poems by Yunus are symphonic. They can easily be remembered and memorized thanks to their harmony and lyricism. Yunus Emre was an active devotee of mysticism. His dynamism both in philosophy and personal word is clearly reflected in this poetry. The dynamic style which he devised by abundant usage of verbs and verbal words is definitely of literary quality.A man of love and heart, as understood from his poems, Yunus Emre was proficient in religious matters as well as popular literature and popular culture. He was a wise poet in love, completely adept in the usage of the Turkish language, and employing of all possibilities and beauties of it. The style which Yunus Emre, as a master and laborer of the Turkish language, invented, is like a secret treasury, which will be studied and investigate for many years to come and read with pleasure.
