Yusuf Neyyi̇r's plays

Yusuf Neyyir lives in nineteenth century and writes his pieces in the light of that century. His literary works consist of one novel, four plays and one transleted novel. In this study that we give information about copyright and translation novel, basically plays are analyzed in detail. Our author deals with the daily issues of the people who lives in that period in his plays. In Tasvîr-i Sebât, it is told that a man deceives his wife with a Frank woman. Deception is the main case. However, many other issues are dealed with. In Esrâr-ı Aşk, tragedy of two young people who ride for a fall because of a misunderstanding is told. In Sıdk-ı Canân experiences of two lovers whose families are enemy each other is analyzed. In this sense, Tasvîr-i Sebât, Esrâr-ı Aşk and Sıdk-ı Canân are tragedies. On the other hand, Tedbirsizlik is distinguished from the others. It tells that an old, widow man with child desires to marry to a young beautiful concubine and the experiences of the family because of this desire. As it is seen, Yusuf Neyyir deals with different subjects in his works. He creates a colorful world with his charachers that he draws for these subcjets. In this study, there are two more sections dealing with the main subject apart from the introduction and conclusion parts. While the plays are examined in one of them, plays are transferred to roman charachters in the other one.
