Abstract (EN)

The work life or career journey which the individuals who build the society are prepared to sustain their lives under the best conditions starts with the perception of individual abilities and values. Career values are the determining factor in the awareness of values in business life. Career values of individuals which direct their professional life compose of personal needs, talents and values. To examine and analyze the factors which are effective in determining the value of career, provide the opportunity for evaluating of the professional choices. In the study, both the historian method and the field research method and the survey technique were used. The aim of this study is to determine the career values and dominant personality traits of the Z generation in profession and career choices. In addition, whether there is a significant difference between demographic characteristics and career values is the subject of research.Career Nominal Anchor Scale which is developed by Schein (1990) has been used as a means of determining the value of career in the research. In order to determine the dominant personality traits and career values of the Z generation, a questionnaire was applied to the students at Beykent University. According to the results of questionnaire, among the personality traits of the Z generation, "Charitable, Well-Meaning, Tolerant, Candid and Affectionate" features stand out. Following the search, it was determined that entrepreneurship anchor is more significant than any other anchors for the students. In addition, students' gender, parental work and according to their education situations, it has been confirmed that their career anchor differs from.
