Abstract (EN)
This study tackles atheism and its impact and meaning in the Holy Qur'an, along with factors of its spread in the West and East. The study takes analytic-descriptive and field approach to displaythe reality of atheism in the East and West. The results of the study show that some of the scholars in the East and West who were accused ofatheism were not atheists, but rather an accusation by the authorities, sects or doctrines. It has focused on Western atheism as it was the first place in which atheistic sects emerged and then affected the Eastern societies. We administered a questionnaire in the Iraqi society and the results show that the seed of atheism was planted in Iraqi society, nevertheless it has not successful so far. Keywords:Theology, Atheism, Iraqi society, the West and East Societies
