Abstract (EN)

The weight of the individuals who participated in this study was divided into groups as thin, normal and overweight according to the calculation of body mass index (BMI) which developed by World Health Organization (WHO). Individuals whose body mass index between "18,5 and 29,9" participated in the study. A positive relationship between emotional eating behavior, alexithymia and emotion regulation difficulty was concluded. With regards to weight groups, no difference was found between emotional eating behavior and alexithymia levels of thin, normal and overweight individuals. The only difference in weight groups is that the emotional responses of thin individuals are not clear enough as overweight individuals.
