Abstract (EN)
Education is one of the widest and most versatile fields of activity of the society. Different methods, techniques and materials are used while improving the emotional, physical and mental abilities of people in line with the predetermined goals through education. Games are one of the most important materials used for these purposes. Play is one of the most effective ways to transfer a lot of information in the world of children. Children actively use their intelligence in the process of playing games. In other words, games make an important contribution to the development of intelligence in childhood. In particular, intelligence games have an important place in this development process. Children actively participate in the game in intelligence games. These games provide children with the ability to produce logical solutions. Because of the positive gains they provide to children in basic education and secondary education, intelligence games have been included in the curriculum by the Ministry of National Education. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of students, teachers and parents of students, who are at the center of the education process, about the Intelligence Games lesson.In this research, a mixed design, in which qualitative and quantitative techniques are used together, was preferred. In the quantitative study part of the research, the general survey model, one of the survey model types, was adopted. In the qualitative part of the research, the case study model was used. consists of 201 parents and 13 teachers. In order to answer the problems determined within the scope of the research, two different 5-point Likert-type scale forms and a structured interview form developed by the researcher were used. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the students had a positive opinion at the level of "agree" towards the Intelligence Games lesson and that the opinions of the students in the study group did not differ significantly according to their gender and grade levels.It was concluded that the opinions of the students' parents about the Intelligence Games lesson were positive at a "very high" level, and that the opinions of the parents differed significantly in favor of women in the sub-dimension of "The effect of the Intelligence Games lesson on the development of children", but did not show a significant difference in other sub-dimensions. In addition, it was concluded that the views of the parents in the study group about Intelligence Games differed significantly in favor of university graduates according to their education levels. According to the data collected from the teachers, the reasons for the students to choose the Intelligence Games course; "their interest in online applications, the problems encountered in the teaching of the Intelligence Games course; It has been determined that the classes are crowded, the lesson hours of Intelligence Games are low", the issues that should be added to the Intelligence Games lesson curriculum as a subject and outcome; "The history of the Intelligence Games lesson, the variety of intelligence games". In addition, regarding the evaluation activities that should be added to the program and the teaching process for the Intelligence Games course, it was concluded that "intelligence games tournaments should be held throughout the country and questions about intelligence games should be asked in the entrance exams for universities or high schools".
