Abstract (EN)
Especially in the recent period the interest in mental training has increased. This method is used to improve the performance of athletes. The purpose of this study is to adopt mental skills to athletes, to investigate whether mental training has a positive effect on the collective efficacy and individual performance of athletes or not. Mental training techniques are generally used with physical training, especially are widely used in upper age groups. Mental training techniques do not require a physical effort. In recent years these techniques, especially in the team sports, have been made to determine whether the player's individual performance is effective or not. This study was conducted with 5 players between the ages of 15-16 playing in the league. The average age of these players was determined as x̄=15,4±1 years. Collective efficacy scale and personal information form were apllied to the participants. During the research SPSS programme was used to analyze the collected datas. Additionnaly, a five-week mental training programme applied to the participants. As a result of mental training exercise, no statistically significant difference was found before and after mental training techniques were applied. In addition, the difference between the pre-test and the final-test values in the collective efficacy scale scores applied was not statistically significant (p>0,05). Key Words: Collective Efficacy, Performance, Mental Training
