Abstract (EN)
The best way to understand a science is to turn to the founder names that affect the course of development. For this reason, in our study, Dhu'l-Nun al-Mısri's (d. 245/ 859) understanding of Sufism was examined. In the first chapter, the life of Dhu'l-Nun was discussed. Dhu'l-Nun al-Mısrî who lives in Egypt has traveled to many different regions. Dhu'l-Nun as one of the first people who mentioned the cases and authorities came to the forefront with the understanding of mercy and was considered by some researchers as the founder of the "theosophical tasawwuf". In the second and third chapter, the views of Dhu'l-Nun al-Mısrî's teachings, the subject of Sufism, tawhid, faith and the main issues of Sufism are examined. As a result of our study, it was determined that Dhu'l-Nun al-Mısrî was a sufi who contributed to the development of Sufism as a religious science and influenced the later Sufis and scholars.
