Rhetorical images have a great place in rhetorical and critical studies, both ancient and modern. This is due to its importance and role in shaping the literary text, as it is a tool to help the writer on how to expresses his thought, passion and imagination, and through which he aims to influence the reader. The study of rhetorical images is also an auxiliary and essential factor in identifying the poet and his ability to create. This study relies on the science of rhetoric, which is represented in the three Rhetorical images "Simile, Metaphor, and Metonymy". The study deals with these images in the poetry of al-malik al-adil Suleiman al-ayyubi; To reveal the poet's ability to depict rhetorically, and the impact of this depiction on the reader, and to know the position of the poet among the poets of his period, and what appears in the images of the artistic features of his period, and to know this, the study traced these images in the various purposes of his poetry, so the rhetorical images were of similes and metaphors of all kinds and metaphors. applied chapters in this study. The choice of the poetry of al-malik al-adil Suleiman al-ayyubi as the subject of this study came out for several reasons and goals, including that al-adil is an obscure poet and his collection of poetry is virgin, and that tracing his rhetorical images reveals manifestations of his poetic pictorial ability, his imagination and culture, which contributes to bringing him closer to the reader.
