The first Eğin court record and its transcription (H.1315-1318 / m.11897-1901)

We can find information about the legal, economic, religious, military, administrative, social order and cultural structure of the Ottoman Empire in the court records, which are recorded by the cadis in the courts. To see the subjects such as divorce (talak), succession guardianship power of attorney foundation, etc. at the court records practically, which we know theoretically in Islamic Law, help us to understand our theoretical information and the application of Islamic law better. The period in which we work is H. 1315-1318 (M.1897-1901) and during this period, we witness the existence of non-Muslims besides the Muslims in the town of Eğin. We are witnessing that the Muslim and non-Muslims had different the identification processin th courts. We believe that this situation is due to religious tolerance of the Ottoman state. Non-Muslims living according to their own religious rules in the Ottoman state, opened cases in the ecclesiastics courts for the purpose of seeing and solving their cases. Eğin Court Records consists of a total of 36 conanical judicial notebook in the section of the National Library of Ankara. Our conanical judicial notebook is located in chart of Eğin Şer'iyye records 33. and consists of 87 pages. 305 documents were transcribed. information about Eğin district was given in the entrance section, In the first chapter, after the basic information about the courts and duties of the Sharia Law was discussed, then in the second chapter, information about the registers and our book was presented. In the third chapter, in the light of the documents in our book, the legal evaluation of the book has been made based on the basic principles in Islamic Law., the transcription of the book is avalibale in the fourth chapter. In order to reflect the practical application of Islamic Law to the present day, the First Eğin Court Record has been examined and transcribed.
