Abstract (EN)
İnhibition performance of 1-2(hyroxyethyl)-2-imidazolidinone against corrosion on mild steel (MS) in 0.5 M HCl solution investigated at different concentration and temperature by potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and linear polarization resistance (LPR) methods . And also the surface morphology of MS was examined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in absence and presence inhibitör. The inhibition efficiency increased with increasing inhibitor's concentration, but decreased with the increase in temperature .The potentiodynamic polarization results indicated that all the studied inhibitors act as mixed type. 2-HEİ adsorption on the MS surface obeyed the isotherm of Langmuir and the thermodynamic parameters; Kads, ∆G○ads were also calculated and discussed.
