Abstract (EN)
Violence is one of the biggest social problems of our time. In healthcare institutions, which have a wide range of study areas, the frequency of violence is significantly higher than in other institutions. Losing loved ones and the difficulties experienced during treatment are some of the reasons why violence is more prevalent in healthcare institutions. Health workers work under difficult conditions under stress and that reduces tolerance and creates a lack of empathy between patients and health workers, which creates an environment for violence. In recent years, it has been seen that there are many factors that affect violence, such as the society in which we live, culture, customs, education level, and biological causes. This study examines the prevention of violence against healthcare workers, the frequency of violence among healthcare workers, and the factors that affect violence.
