The Effect Of Regular Exercises On Pulmonary Function Parameters Of 10-12 Year-Old Children Aim: The aim of the study is to examine the changes in pulmonary function parameters by comparing the percentages of air volume which is exhaled in the first second of forced vital capacity and forced expiratory according to the pre-test and post-test results which are applied at the beginning and in the end of 12 week training program for 10-12 year-old children within regular exercise programme. Material and Method: The participants between the age of 10-12 who are studying in Gürün 80th Year Regional Boarding Secondary School are informed before the study and the 37 sedentary students, whose voluntary consent forms were obtained, attended to the study. The average age of the participants (11.18±0.73 years, height pre-test 145.62±7.13 cm, post-test 146.45±7.31 cm, weight pre-test 39.18±7.97 kg, post test 39.35±7.78 kg) respectively. Participants have done aerobics exercises for 12 weeks, 3 days a week and 2 hours on each day. Pulmonary function test was applied to the participans before and after the study after receiving necessary permissions from Gürün State Hospital. The body weight of the participants were measured with Desis labeled medical weighing scale, The hights were measured with Ade labeled telescopic height measuring rod and respiratory tests were measured with Mır labeled Minispir spinometer. SPSS 23.0 programme was used for statistical analysis. Significance level were taken p<0.05. Results: Average age of the participants between the age of 10-12 years (11.18 ± 0.73 years) was determined, and FVC and FEV1 pre-test, post-test results of their heigths (pre test 145.62±7.13 cm, post test 146.45±7.31 cm) and weights (pre test 39.18±7.97 kg, post test 39.35±7.78 kg) were statistically compared. It was found that average of FVC% pre-test was 92.75±10.01, average of post-test was 94.27±10.61, average of FEV1% pre-test was 96.05±9.56, average of post-test was 98.02±9.56 and differences between the results were statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the regular exercise programme applied to the children aged 10-12, affected children's pulmonary parameters positively.
