Özet (EN)

Our study was conducted in order to determine whether pliometric training applied to children aged 10-12 years who have been working on swimming sport had an effect on some performance parameters. 10-12 age group swimming athletes participated in the study. As a preliminary and final test and a measure of the athletes participating in the research; t-agility, standing long jump, vertical jump, 30m face test, anthrometric measurement and 50m, 15m swimming degrees were taken. Pliometric training program was applied to the study group during the 8th week of a week between 35-45 minutes. He continued his normal training in the control group. In the statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study, statistical program was used. Arithmetic mean (X) and standard deviation (SS) values of all study and control groups will be taken. Wilcoxon test was used for intra-group comparisons, and Mann Whitney U test was used to determine the difference between groups. The significance level was accepted as p <0.05. In our study, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the values of the study group (30m sprint, t test, long jump, vertical jump, explosive power, 50m and 15m swimming degree) compared to the pre-post test data (p<0.05). As a result, it was seen that pliometric studies have positive effects on performance components. In this context, it is thought that plyometric studies should be included in the programs of 10-12 age group swimming training programs.
