Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of the study is to determine the motor skills (MS) levels of children between the ages of 10-14 and investigate the relationship between MB and some physical properties. Methods: A total of 300 (girls = 150 boys = 150) children aged between 10-14 years participated in the study. MBLs of the children participating in the study Body mass indexes (BMI) with Dordel Koch Test (DGS) [weight (kg) / height (m2)] formula, body fat percentage (BFP) was determined by the Durnin - Womersley formula. Pearson Correlation Analysis was used to determine the relationship between BFB and BMI. The difference in motor skills between ages was determined through ANOVA test and it was determined by the Tukey test from the post-Hoc tests that the difference was caused by the group. Results: According to the results obtained, it was determined that both male and female children were close to the mid-level weight, flexibility, standing long jump and shuttle performances in all age groups, while balance and flexibility performance were found to be between good and medium level. In addition, it was determined that motor skills had a significant negative relationship with BMI and BFB (p <0.05). Conclusion: As a result, it was determined that the motor skills of today's children were moderate. In addition, it was determined that children being overweight had negative effects on exhibiting motor skills. It is thought that children's inclusion in activities improve motor skills may bring their physical properties to the desired level and thus developing their motor skills.
