Composition structure in 10th century Iranian miniatures and its reflection on the works of painter Kemal Behzad

Iranian miniature art has left a profound legacy throughout history, both aesthetically and culturally. This thesis examines the evolution of Iranian miniature art in the 10th century AH, focusing on the works of one of the era's most prominent artists, Kamal al-Din Behzad. Through his art, Behzad not only influenced the aesthetic ideals of his time but also introduced an innovative approach that left a lasting impact on subsequent centuries. This research analyzes the technical details and compositional features of Behzad's works to evaluate his contributions to Iranian art. The 10th century AH is recognized as the golden age of Iranian miniature art, with Behzad's work standing out for its meticulous depiction of nature and human life. His pieces not only offer visual beauty but also illuminate the depths of Iranian culture. This study explores the historical development of Iranian miniature art, Behzad's artistic characteristics, and the influence of his works on Iranian art. In this context, the main objective of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of the aesthetic and cultural values of Iranian miniature art through Behzad's masterpieces.
