A total of 40 students, 20 for control and 20 for experimental group, were chosen from Meryem Abdurrahim Gizer Primary School These 40 students do not regularly involve any sports activities, except physical education classes. The experimental group, consisting of 10 mate, 10 female student, was trained twice a week 90 minutes each for three months. Control group students, 10 male and 10 female, were excluded from training. Social Self-efficacy Scale, consisting of 27 questions, were given to all students before and after the study. Abo, to get socio-economic and demographicinformation from students, a form was distributed to all students. Mann-Whitney, Kruskall Wallis, Wilcoxon t-test for variance analysis and Chi square tests were used to see the differences between the groups with using SPSS(version 10) statistical analysis of the data. In all statistical tests, the level of significance and the confidence level were accepted asa"p<0.05" and "95%", respectively. The average age of experimental group was 1235±0.49 years, height 1.4715.12 cm., weight 35.95±3.05 kg; as for the control group this was 12.45±0.51 years for age, 1.48±6.92 cm. for height, 3735+3.19 for weight. While the post-test results of experimental group are significant (p=0.01) than the pre-test results. There has been no significant changes between the pre and post-test results of the control group(p>0.05). There has been significant difference between the means of the pre-and post-tests of the experimental group and pre and the post-tests of the control group (p=0.03). Additionally, there has been no statistically significant differences between the pre-and post test of the experimental and control groups considering their gender, ages and socio- economic levels (p>0.05). As a result it is possible to conclude that basic gymnastic movements that has been applied for three months on 11-13 years old individuals has been an effective factor to increase their social self-efficacy.
