Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of football-specific functional training on physical fitness in 11-13 age groups. The study group consisted of 20 football players aged 11-13 years in Aydın. The control group consisted of 10 football players aged 11-13 years. The groups included in the study were divided into two groups as the study group and the control group. Both groups were initially measured for height and weight, followed by flamingo balance test, flexibility test, double leg forward jump test, speed test, 10x5 shuttle run test in euro-fit test battery, which was used to determine physical fitness. Then, the group was subjected to dynamic warm-up, strength, endurance, speed and coordination training after football jogging 3 days and 1 day intervals for 8 weeks. The control group ended their activities by doing jogging and double goal football match during the training. At the end of the 8th week, the euro-fit test battery, which was used to determine the physical fitness, was applied to both groups again after measuring height and weight and the results were compared and examined. As a result, this study was found to have contributed to the physical fitness parameters of the study group which was subjected to football-specific functional training in 11-13 age groups. In addition, the double rook match program applied to the control group contributed to some parameters of the athletes in the control group.
