Abstract (EN)
Anatolian lands have been home to sheikhs and dervishes from different regions since the 11th century for many reasons. This rich human resource coming from regions such as Maveraünnehir, Khorasan and Turkestan made Anatolia a Turkish homeland in a short time and ensured its Islamization. These people coming from different political, social and cultural environments brought with them the intellectual level they belonged to. The Turkish-Islamic Civilization, which reached its peak with the Great Seljuk State, was carried to the region through these people. Thus, Anatolia became not only a new homeland but also a place where different intellectual and cultural currents met and collided. With the rise of the Anatolian Seljuk State, new waves of migration followed each other. The destructive effect of the Mongol invasion in the Islamic world, the refuge of the people who were devastated in regions such as Turkestan, Khorasan, Iran and Azerbaijan was the Anatolian lands. Many scholars and Sufis who played important roles in the Islamization of Anatolia created a great intellectual vitality within the Anatolian Seljuk state. The aim of this study is to draw attention to the deficiency in the literature by focusing on the impact of the orders formed in the Anatolian Seljuk period on the political power of the period. In addition, the sultans as well as state administrators were in close relations with scholars and Sufi circles, and in this process, they competed in the allocation of institutions such as madrasahs, hangahs, zawiyahs, and especially the main sources of the period, velayetnamas and menakıpnamas.
