Abstract (EN)
Laterality continues to be a concept whose importance increases day by day and is repeated more and more in younger age categories. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of laterality on the performance of Primary School 2nd Level students in different age categories in Anaerobic and Agility tests. Descriptive research method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The study consisted of 53 volunteer students aged 10-14 years who actively continued their education and participated in Physical Education and Sports classes in the 2021-2022 academic year in Muş province. A total of 53 students, 35 right-handed and 18 left-handed, participated in the study. Of these participants, 30 were female and 23 were male. The research group was first administered the Lateralization questionnaire to determine hand preference. Then T test and Rast tests were applied to the research group. In this study, all statistical calculations were made with SPSS 21 package program. In the research findings, a significant difference was observed in favor of right-handers in the fatigue index levels of 11-14 age group primary school students according to their hand use preferences. According to the gender variable of the students, a significant difference was observed in favor of women. There was a significant difference in favor of 8th graders in anaerobic capacity according to the grade variable. At the same time, according to the correlation results, it was determined that there was a weak significant relationship between laterality and maximum power, minimum power, anaerobic capacity and fatigue index. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in other agility tests. As a result, it was seen that right-handers had an advantage in the fatigue index, females performed better than males according to the gender variable, and when the anaerobic parameters were examined according to the class variable, it was seen that 8th graders were in favor.
