Associating picturws of autistic children aged 11-15 with developmental screening tests

This research is based on the analysis of the appropriateness of the pictures of pre-adolescent and adolescence autistic children between the ages of 11-15 in the period of Realism and Apparent Naturalism, which is called the abstract period. It includes the examination of developmental screening tests by using the power of visual expression. Within the scope of this research, the problems of 12 girls and 12 boys with autistic disorder in terms of self-understanding at different levels from normal individuals in this period, their awareness of their vital social environment and family relations were discussed. As a data collection tool in the research, cognitive development of children with autism, expressive reflections of communication power, psycho-motor skills, etc. To determine the developmental screening tests and the Analysis Method in Pedagogical Art Criticism were used, but the Turkish version of the GOBDÖ-2-TV test, which was developed by İbrahim DİKEN, was applied beforehand. In the age period examined, many complex emotions, including the abstract period, thoughts that cannot be expressed with the power of language, and personal drawings were used. The subject of the research was examined by determining to what extent they were able to express themselves and what kind of developmental stage they were in with screening tests. The data collected during this research were processed, analyzed and evaluated using the IBM SPSS Statistics 18 Package Program and added under the findings heading.
