Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the quality of work life and the factors affecting it among emergency medical services employees. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 250 healthcare workers working at command control centers and emergency medical service stations between June and December 2022. "Socio-Demographic Characteristics Form" and "Quality of Life Scale for Employees" were used as data collection tools. The analysis of the data obtained from the study revealed that there was a statistically significant difference (p<0,05) in terms of income status, weekly working hours, regular use of annual leave, high workload in the workplace, sufficient rest before and after shifts, participation in social activities, job satisfaction, exposure to violence during work, and work-related accidents in terms of quality of work life. On the other hand, there was no significant difference (p>0,05) in terms of gender, marital status, place of residence, continuous use of medication, professional title, employment status, length of service in the current institution, and working in a unit suitable for education. Based on these results, measures should be taken to maintain and improve the quality of work life. These measures will not only have a positive effect on the quality of work life but also contribute to the improvement of the quality of emergency medical services.
