Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between the perceptions of work-family conflict, burnout and excess workload of 112 employees who provide services under the Yozgat 112 Provincial Ambulance Service. In addition, it was aimed to reveal whether the perceptions of work-family conflict, burnout and excess workload make a difference according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. The population of the research consists of 312 health employees serving in 112 Command and Control Center (KKM) and 112 Emergency Health Services Station (ASHI) operating in Yozgat province. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic experienced during the survey period, the online survey method was preferred. The same healthcare employee was prevented from participating in the survey more than once. Sample selection was not preferred since it was thought that all personnel working in the selected 112 Command and Control Center (KKM) and 112 Emergency Health Services Station (ASHI) could be reached. The survey was carried out with the participation of 281 health employees. In the study, the excess workload scale, the work-family conflict scale consisting of two dimensions, the burnout scale consisting of three dimensions, and the demographic information form were used. In the study, factor analysis was used to determine the validity of the data collection tools, and the Cronbach alpha coefficient was used to determine their reliability. The correlation and regression analyzes were used to test the hypotheses of the research. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to test the differences between the two groups, and the Kruskal Wallis Analysis of Variance was used to test the differences between more than two independent groups. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that the personal and demographic characteristics of the participants made a difference in their perceptions of work-family conflict, burnout and excess workload. Further analyzes show that work-family conflict plays a mediating role in the effect of excess workload perception on burnout. Workloads of 112 employees should be balanced so that these people can spare time for their families, and work-family conflict and ultimately burnout should be prevented.
