Abstract (EN)

In this study, although the censuses of Temettuat were initiated in the Tanzimat period for the purpose of tax regulation, they have been one of the most important sources of information for today's social historians. In order to regulate the tax collection procedure, detailed information such as the securities or real estate properties of the people of the region, the number of animals they raise and their income, the professional groups and earnings of the people they belong to make this count important. The purpose of the preparation of this study was to reveal the social, economic and demographic structure of the Kesriye accident in 1844-45. In this context, the Temettuat ledger of the Kesriye No. 11426, which constitutes the main source of our work, was first transcribed into Latin letters in a computer environment. During this translation, he was careful not to overlook the most subtle detail. Then, the literature on the Temettuat Books were scanned and the appropriate sources were compiled. After careful examination of the relevant sources, the writing of the thesis was started. In this thesis, the social, demographic, agricultural and economic structure of the city of Kastoria in Greece in 1844-1845 was evaluated in various tables and charts.
