Intellectuals Petition case as a hegemony attempt against the hegemony of September 12

Hegemony is a concept used in political science to over-formulate the nature of power debates over the power of the state. This study problematizes the attempt to establish counter-hegemony, based on the Language of Intellectuals, which will be created by the initiative of the powers as a confrontation with a military hegemony after the 12 September Coup. Regarding this concept, the "Intellectuals Petition Initiative" can be evaluated in terms of gatherings, writing the application, submitting it to the authorities and applying on it. Conceptual is the central concept for both your understanding of the current power and your work on the direction of the directions. Intellectual, on the other hand, is to consider as a concept that draws the boundaries of the current power's views of thought and its requirements on intellectuals. Based on this problematic, the study is structured in three parts. The first and second parts of the study constitute the conceptual-theoretical framework, and in the third part, the case study of "Intellectuals Petition" is evaluated by considering the theoretical background. In the first part of the study, while the concepts of hegemony and counter-hegemony are discussed, the approach of the Marxist theorist Antonio Gramsci is based. In addition to Gramsci's thoughts, the contemporary hegemony approach of post-Marxist theorists Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe is also included. In this section, how hegemony can be established and how counter-hegemony will become dominant are discussed. While discussing the concept of intellectual in the second part of the study, the intellectual approaches of Marxist theorists Vladimir Lenin, Antonio Gramsci, Loius Althusser and Raymond Williams are used respectively. In the third part, the 12 September regime is evaluated by taking into account the 12 September Military Coup and the institutionalization process of hegemony after the coup.
