Özet (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the difference that primary school students voluntarily participating in physical activity practices and primary school students who do not participate in the physical activity program for increasing quality of life. The research was conducted at Vestel Primary School in Manisa (n = 878). The study was conducted on 12-14 year old students (n = 297) who were exposed to possible stress and pressure due to the TEOG Exam applied by the Ministry of National Education and because of the school absenteeism problem. The study was conducted in two stages; In the first stage; In order to be able to know the children who are teaching and learning in Vestel secondary school and to be able to know the children who constitute the sample of the research and to have knowledge about the problem behaviors of the children, information about the children from the school guidance and physical education teachers is collected by the research team (Responsible for determining the problem behaviors to be intervened, Researcher, assistant researcher), a preliminary assessment was carried out before the implementation. After the evaluation, students were taken from 6th and 7th grades and experiment and control groups were formed. The second stage is; The "Kiddo Kindl Ergen Scale" was administered as a pre-test to the children in the Experimental and Control groups. Then, the physical activity program (composed of basic technical education and play-based physical activities) prepared according to the interests and desires of the students in the school by the questionnaire was applied to the children in the experimental group by the researcher for two weeks, two days a week for twelve weeks. For the control group, no activities were performed except for the education they were routinely taking. Twelve weeks later, the children in the Experimental and Control groups were again subjected to the Kiddo Kindl Ergenic Scale as a post-test. Physical activities performed for 12 weeks in the experimental group were recorded by the researcher with short videos and pictures. The obtained data were evaluated by SPSS statistical program. Mann Whitney U test was used in the comparison between the groups and Wilcoxon test was used in the group comparison. For type 1 error, α = 0.05 and 0.01 were taken. As a result; It was determined that the total quality of life scores of the physical activity program applied to the students in the intervention group increased more according to the total quality of life scores of the students in the control group and statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores.
