13th and 14th century miniature art is analyzed through composition and color evaluations of 11 copies of Harîrî Maqamat, an important literary work of the period. The reflections and changes of the formation that started with the Seljuk State, which spread over a wide geography, on the Mamluk State are analyzed, and the transition between periods is revealed through miniatures. The scope of the study includes Harîrî Maqamatı in Paris, Bibliotheque Nationale, (PBnF) Arabe 3929, Paris, Bibliotheque Nationale, Arabe 6094, Paris, Bibliotheque Nationale, Arabe 5847, Leningrad, Academy Of Science, (LAoS) now Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IOM RAS), St. Petersburg, C.23, Istanbul, Suleymaniye Library of Manuscripts (SYEK) Esad Efendi 2961, London, British Library, (LBL) Or. 1200, London, British Library, (LBL) Or. 9718, London, British Library, (LBL) Or. Add. 22114, London, British Library, (LBL) Or. Add. 7293, Oxford, Bodleian Library, (OBL) Marsh 458, Vienna, Nationalebibliothek, (VNb) A.F.9. Among the 11 copies mentioned above, the miniatures of the copies obtained were examined in terms of composition and color. An evaluation of the miniature art of the period has been made through the miniatures of Harîrî Makâmât.
