Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to search about the effects of pliometric and weight training -applied to 15-16 year old male soccer players for 8 weeks- to some physical and physiological parameters Totally 36 male soccer players consisting of 12 people of weight training group, 12 people of pliometric group and 12 people of control group, participated in the study. All of the groups did ordinary football team training 3 times a week during 8 weeks. Pliometric and weight training groups have been applied pliometric and weight training programmes before the ordinary football team training. The groups underwent some tests and scales before and after the 8 week training programme. In the comparisons of groups for the measured variables matched - 1 - test is used. In the comparisons of the groups, single variance analysis (ANOVA) is done. In order to find from which groups the differences between the groups arise, TUKEY test of the multiple comparison tests is used. The results have been evaluated in the 0.05 importance level. At the end of 8 weeks training, there has been a statistically meaningful difference among the pliometric, weight training and control groups between the pretest and final test as for the body fat percentage, rest heart beat number, vertical jump test, anaerobic power, horizontal jump test, elasticity test, 30 meters speed test, jumping 5 times on the jumping foot, throwing the health ball forward with two hands while standing test scale. In the weight training group between the pre test and final test a statistically meaningful difference has been found as for the aerobic power scales. As for the aerobic power in the pliometric and control group a statistically meaningful difference between the pre test and final test has not been found. Among pliometric, weight training and control groups, a statistically meaningful difference between the pre test and final test has not been found as for the body weight scales. Among the groups, a statistically meaningful difference has been found as for the vertical jump test. This difference is between pliometric training group and control group, weight training group and control group. The values of pliometric and weight training group have been found higher than the values of control group. As for the 30 meters speed test, a statistically meaningful difference has been found among the groups. This difference is between pliometric group and control group. The values of pliometric group are lower than the values of the control group. As a result, it is seen that the 8 week pliometric and weight trainings primarily effect the power and speed qualities and other parametres of the sportsmen positively.
