Abstract (EN)
One of the most important sources of the Social and Economic History of the Ottoman Empire has been the Religous Court Records. They have been of importance in orden to appreciate in detail the state organization of Ottoman Empire. For, there are a great deal of varied informations in relation to socio-economic, administrative, financial, cultural and political both of center and of province in these court records in detail.The Court Record of Rodosçuk numbered 1579, whose transcription was made, comprises the documents belonging to the years between 1631-32 A.D. (1041 H.).In this thesis study, giving a general information about the Court Records of Ottoman Empire, the appreciation of and transcription of the text were done.These documents belonging to Rodosçuk which is of a important location between İstanbul and Balkans, contain the essential knowledges about urban historiography and local life. It is possible to reach a great deal knowledges related to vill, village and quarters in this township. Besides, it comprises many records in relation to state officers, notables. Documents about the commercial relations and craftman groups, are also found.The fact that muslim and non-muslim people had been living together in Rodosçuk town and township, contributes to the importance of the court register analysed as to appreciate the social relations. It is possible that in the aforesaid township, quarters and villages where Muslim, Greek, Armenian and Jewish people settled, and the relations amongst groups with each other, can be seen through these Court RecordsKey Words: The Court Records, Rodosçuk, Ottoman, Tekirdağ
