Abstract (EN)

Sharia Registry are important sources of regional history studies in terms of the information they contain. In this study, Rodoscuk / Tekirdağ's 1590 numbered Rodoscuk Sharia Registry (covers years of the hegira 1074-1076 or years of the current area 1663-1666) was transcribed and the data obtained were analyzed. The documents in the book are classified according to their types and topics. The documents from the center or other government officials are described as Suret (copy) (fermân, berât, buyruldu), and the documents issued by the court are defined as Zabıt (official record), (i'lam, hüccet, tereke). 80% of the recorded documents consist of Zabıts and 20% consist of the Surets. The vast majority of the Zabıts consist of residential sales, vineyard and vineyard sales, inheritance divisions, guardianship appointments and estate. There are many documents in the register from the emancipation of slave to foundation records, tax transactions, and the lives of non-Muslims.The records in the book are classified separately according to years. The documents separated according to years are listed as The Zabıt and the Surets. The documents in the Rodoscuk Sharia Registry numbered of 1599, which we have introduced, contain information that will contribute to the understanding of the region in the social, cultural and economic sense. In the light of this information, evaluations were made about the District Rodoscuk.
