A source in the 18th century Ottoman history history of el-Hâc İbrahim Edhem as (1799-1803)

Manuscripts are the main sources leading us in the understanding of historical facts by carrying the cultural heritage from the past to the present with its scientific and artistic aspects. Since the primary source is accepted, manuscripts are especially important for researchers working in the social sciences. The way to make the most of such important works is to provide them with the right fixation and arrangement. In this thesis, 18th century Ottoman political history literature and Berlin Staatsbibliothek Orientabteilung (Berlin National Library) is located, Hs. Or. Oct. The first part of the manuscript consisting of two parts belonging to Binbaşızâde El-Hâc İbrahim Edhem, which is registered at 851, was evaluated by transcription. The first part of the study, the determination of the author, the introduction of the work and III. During the reign of Selim I, the manuscript written by Major Ibrahim Edhem was transcribed and devoted to the issue of expulsion of the French army from Egypt. In the second part, the information about the places where the pilgrimage is made and the pilgrimage ritual is given. In the conclusion part, a general evaluation is made about the work. In addition, a vocabulary was added to facilitate understanding of transcription. Finally, the transcribed text of the work, just as its printing and annexes are included. The first part of the manuscript, which consists of two parts belonging to Al-Hâb Binbaşızâde İbrahim Edhem, is important because it is one of the primary sources that wrote Ottoman-French relations in the 18th century.
