ABSTRACTPATTERN OF DAILY LIFE OF OTTOMAN ACCORDING TO 18THCENTURY? FETVASThe topic of Daily Life in Ottoman according to 18th century? fetvas,reveals social life of the period in the light of Behcetü?l- Fetava, which waswritten by Yenişehirli Mehmet Efendi, who was the chief religious official(Şeyhülislam) in the Ottoman Empire during Tulip Period, the period from1718 to 1730.Yenişehirli Abdullah Efendi?s fetvas, which holds the religious and thedaily life's traces consisting of question-answer type expressions aboutincidents at his time, are important with its specialty. These fetvas reflectdaily life, believes, customs and traditions, level of culture and science, warsetc. of the Ottoman Society during Tulip Period with much more remarkableexamples compared to history books. Şeyhülislam Abdullah Efendi?s fetvassuch as allowing printing and copying of books, respecting scientists andecclesiastics, inhibiting the ecclesiastics not to give fetva according to theirown wishes, trading of tulip, ones about Iran Rafizi?s and several fetvasabout non-muslims are crucial for both reflecting thought of society at thatperiod and people who want to create solutions for Turkish Society?s todayand future.
