Abstract (EN)
Ali Suavi, a versatile journalist and Tanzimat enlightenment; who was influenced by Turkism, Islamism and Westernism, which were the currents of ideas. The newspapers he was referring to had many issues. In addition to this, books and translations are also available. As a dissident identity, Suavi was influenced by the progress of the West and believed that the Ottoman State should benefit from developments in the West at that time. Besides being exiled because of his criticism, the writings are censored and even the newspaper is closed. The place of Ali Suavi in the Ottoman press, which is the subject of his work, was tried to be revealed in the light of the published writings. In addition, some evaluations have been added alongside remarkable interpretations and writings. There are few studies about Ali Suavi. Especially in historical terms, Suavi is not of sufficient size. At the end of the work, the texts from the mentioned newspapers and documents are in the appendices.
